Hosted at the beautiful Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront, this gala is more than just a night out—it’s a powerful statement against human trafficking.

Governor George Allen

George F. Allen has served as a director since Armada Hoffler’s initial public offering in 2013. Mr. Allen currently serves as the President of George Allen Strategies, a business consulting firm founded by Mr. Allen, as well as on the board of directors of several technology companies, including Lee Technologies, nanoRisk Assessment and Material Intellect. Gov. Allen is also the Reagan Ranch Presidential Scholar for Young America’s Foundation and serves on the Board of Governors for the Reagan Ranch in Santa Barbara, as well as on the Appalachian School of Law’s Board of Trustees. Gov. Allen is the Chair of the Manufacturing Competitiveness Initiative for the National Association of Manufacturers. He has served the Commonwealth of Virginia in the House of Delegates, U.S. House of Representatives, as the 67th Governor of Virginia and in the U.S. Senate. Furthermore, Mr. Allen served as the Chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee for the 2004 election cycle. Mr. Allen holds an undergraduate degree and a law degree from the University of Virginia.

Lindsey Gray

Regional Operations Coordinator – Safe House Project

CPRSS | CHTI | EMT | QMHA | Survivor

Lindsey combines her lived experience with professional expertise in human trafficking advocacy, mental health support, and emergency services.

With over a decade of multidisciplinary experience, Lindsey currently serves as Regional Operations Coordinator for Safe House Project, leading anti-trafficking efforts while building partnerships between law enforcement, healthcare providers, community organizations, and survivors. Her background includes extensive experience in mental health coaching, inpatient behavioral therapy, residential safe housing, 911 and EMS operations, peer support services, victim advocacy, board directorship, and human trafficking investigations.

Lindsey’s personal journey as a survivor fuels her passionate commitment to early detection, comprehensive care, and systemic change. As a mother,  a multidisciplinary professional, and spouse to a military police investigator, she is well acquainted with the importance of creative problem-solving through the lens of multiple perspectives.

Her experience working alongside families and clients in hospitals, inpatient programs, recovery centers, and crisis interventions, combined with her role as a lived experience expert, has positioned her to share valuable insights into vulnerable populations and the realities of trafficking within our community.

WHEN AND WHERE IS THE SAFE HOUSE PROJECT LIGHT UP THE NIGHT GALA?

The gala will take place on October 11, 2025, at the Virginia Beach Marriott Oceanfront.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE SAFE HOUSE PROJECT GALA?

The dress code for the gala is black tie or cocktail attire. Guests are encouraged to dress elegantly for this special evening.

HOW DO I PURCHASE TICKETS FOR THE SAFE HOUSE PROJECT GALA?

When purchase is available, tickets can be purchased online through our event page by clicking the “Buy My Ticket” button to secure your spot at the gala.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT THE LIGHT UP THE NIGHT GALA?

The evening will include a gourmet dinner, silent and live auctions, and a keynote address. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Joe Fu.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IN THE AUCTION IF I CANNOT ATTEND THE LIGHT UP THE NIGHT GALA IN PERSON?

Yes, you can still participate in the silent and live auctions even if you are unable to attend in person. Online bidding details will be provided closer to the event date.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY FOR SAFE HOUSE PROJECT’S LIGHT UP THE NIGHT GALA?

Tickets for the gala are non-refundable. However, if you cannot attend, your ticket purchase can be converted into a donation to support the Safe House Project’s mission.
